Road cycling in Playa de Muro 2026

Playa de Muro, officially also written Platja de Muro, lies on the Bay of Alcúdia between Port d’Alcúdia and Can Picafort. The location combines long flat sections with easy access to Pollença and the northern Tramuntana. It is therefore suitable for both steady training miles and demanding mountain days.

Flat roads into central Mallorca

Routes through Muro, Sa Pobla, Llubí and Santa Margalida lead towards quieter roads across the Pla de Mallorca. This direction is ideal for endurance rides and steady training.

Direct access towards Formentor

Ride through Port d’Alcúdia and Port de Pollença to reach the Ma-2210 on the Formentor peninsula, where several climbs, descents and viewpoints follow one another.

Access to the Tramuntana

From Pollença, the Ma-10 climbs over Coll de Femenia towards Lluc. Famous mountain destinations such as Sa Calobra, Coll dels Reis and Puig Major are then accessible to trained riders.

Suitable for training groups

The mix of coastal roads, quiet inland lanes and mountain passes makes Playa de Muro a popular base for clubs, training groups and individual cycling holidays.
